'Delicate Destruction'

This body of work focuses on emphasising the beauty of ocean life, particularly coral reefs. It addresses the serious danger that our planets coral reefs are facing from plastic pollution, coral bleaching, climate change and destructive fishing practices such as dynamite fishing and bottom trawling.

The materials and experimental use of them shows how plastics and other materials that are usually discarded into the ocean can be up-cycled and transformed, giving a new purpose to the material.

The three  dimensional pieces take inspiration from the textures, forms and colours of coral reefs, replicating the movement and growth through embroidery and embellishment.

'MALLEABLE MINERALS'

This body of work takes inspiration from precious rocks & stones. This project was based around creating contrasting tactile pieces that bring light to the beauty of natural forms.

These tactile pieces have been made to have the appearance of a  rough and sharp  rock texture but on contact they are smooth soft and flexible.

Jewellery

Using materials such as polymer clay, beads, sequins, rope, PVC tubing and other unconventional materials. All chains and findings are sterling silver.
